Why Thailand Is So Popular with Indian Travellers

Thailand welcomes more than a million Indian visitors every year. Flights are short, and there are direct flights from many Indian cities to Bangkok. Indian food, including pure vegetarian and Jain food, is easy to find, especially in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket.

Thailand also offers something for everyone. Children love the shows and water parks. Couples enjoy the beaches and island sunsets. Elders enjoy the calm temples and the comfortable hotels. Shoppers find good value in clothes, electronics and souvenirs.

Thailand also has a deep spiritual link with India. Most Thai people follow Theravada Buddhism, which began in India, and you will see Indian gods like Brahma, Ganesha and Garuda in many places. The Erawan Shrine in Bangkok, dedicated to Brahma, is visited by many Indian travellers.

Food in Thailand for Indian Travellers

Thai food uses rice, coconut, lemongrass and fresh herbs. Try mango sticky rice, pad thai and green curry (ask for vegetarian). Indian restaurants serving North and South Indian food are found in all three cities on this Thailand tour package from India.

If you need pure vegetarian or Jain meals, tell us when you book. We will plan meals at trusted restaurants and inform hotels in advance.

Shopping in Thailand

Bangkok is a shopper’s paradise. Pratunam Market is good for clothes at wholesale prices. MBK Center has electronics and souvenirs. Asiatique Riverfront is a lovely night market by the river. In Pattaya, visit Central Festival and the floating market. In Phuket, try the weekend night market for local crafts.

Always bargain politely in street markets. Shopping malls have fixed prices.

Thailand Tour Package from India for Groups and Families

Thailand is one of the best places for group travel from India. Many families travel together across three generations, and many companies send staff on reward trips to Thailand. We plan private coaches, group check-in, Indian meals and simple daily plans so that every member of the group is comfortable.

For larger groups we can arrange a tour manager from India who travels with you, as well as special experiences such as a private dinner cruise, a group photo shoot on the beach, or a visit to a Thai cooking school. Temple groups and Buddhist associations can also add visits to important temples in Bangkok and Ayutthaya, the old capital of Thailand.

Children under 12 often get special rates at hotels and attractions. Tell us the ages of all travellers when you ask for your rate, and we will find the best value for your family.

Getting Around Thailand on This Tour

On this Thailand tour package from India, you do not need to worry about transport. A private air-conditioned vehicle meets you at every airport and takes you to every tour. Between Phuket and Bangkok you take a short domestic flight, and from Bangkok to Pattaya you travel by road on a good highway.

Bangkok also has a modern Skytrain (BTS) and Metro (MRT), which are cheap, cool and easy to use if you want to explore on your own in the evenings. In Pattaya and Phuket, small taxis and tuk-tuks are easy to find, but always agree the fare before you start. Grab, a ride-hailing app like Ola or Uber, works in all three cities.

Thailand drives on the left, like India, so the roads will feel familiar. Our drivers are experienced and know the routes well, so you can sit back and enjoy the view.
