Every day is carefully curated to balance sightseeing, rest and authentic local experiences — never rushed, always memorable.
Day
Welcome to India. Your Prime Value Tours representative greets you at Indira Gandhi International Airport with a traditional namaste and garland welcome. Transfer to your hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, begin with a heritage walk through the winding lanes of Old Delhi: the massive red sandstone walls of Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the fragrant courtyards of Jama Masjid — India’s largest mosque — and a colourful rickshaw ride through the chaotic poetry of Chandni Chowk, Asia’s oldest marketplace. End the day with a welcome dinner and tour briefing.
Day
A full day exploring the monumental grandeur of New Delhi. Start at Qutub Minar (UNESCO), a soaring 73-metre minaret surrounded by India’s finest medieval architecture. Continue to Humayun’s Tomb (UNESCO) — the Mughal mausoleum that directly inspired the Taj Mahal. Pay respects at Raj Ghat, the serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Drive past the sweeping ceremonial boulevard of Rajpath, the columned power of India Gate, and the magnificent Rashtrapati Bhavan. Afternoon visit to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and ISKON temple. Evening free for Connaught Place exploration.
Day
Depart Delhi early morning by private AC vehicle. Arrive Agra and proceed directly to the Taj Mahal (UNESCO) — the undisputed crown jewel of Mughal architecture. Walk through the grand Darwaza-i-Rauza gateway as this marble masterpiece reveals itself in full glory. Your guide reveals centuries of history, symbolism and craftsmanship. After lunch, explore the imposing red sandstone Agra Fort (UNESCO), where Emperor Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his own son, reportedly gazing at the Taj until his death. As the sun dips, visit Mehtab Bagh garden — the only spot offering a direct river-facing view of the Taj Mahal silhouetted against a burning sky.
Day
Begin with a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal — early morning is the best and least crowded experience, with the marble glowing pink and gold in the first light. After breakfast, drive towards Jaipur with an en-route stop at Fatehpur Sikri (UNESCO) — the perfectly preserved ghost capital of Emperor Akbar, abandoned mysteriously after only 15 years. Explore the spectacular Buland Darwaza (Gate of Magnificence), the Panch Mahal, and the Dargah of Salim Chishti. Arrive Jaipur in the evening. Welcome to Rajasthan’s royal Pink City.

Day
Morning free in Jaipur for last-minute shopping or optional excursion to Nahargarh Fort with panoramic city views. Transfer to Jaipur Airport for your economy-class flight to Varanasi (Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport). On arrival, transfer to your hotel. As the sun sets, proceed to the holy Dashashwamedh Ghat for the mesmerising Ganga Aarti ceremony — a 45-minute spectacle of fire, bells, chanting, flowers and incense performed by 11 priests simultaneously as thousands of devotees and pilgrims gather at the river’s edge. One of the most emotionally powerful experiences in all of Asia. Return to hotel.
Day
Wake before dawn for the most transformative experience of the journey: a sunrise boat ride on the sacred River Ganges. As the city stirs, priests bathe in the holy water, pilgrims offer flowers and prayers, and the ghats come alive in an ancient daily ritual that has continued unbroken for 3,000 years. Your guide narrates the living traditions at each of the 84 ghats — from the smouldering Manikarnika Ghat (the eternal cremation ground) to Assi Ghat‘s philosopher’s corner. Later, navigate the narrow medieval lanes to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple corridor (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva), the Annapurna Temple, and the silk-weaving quarters of Varanasi.
Day
Morning excursion to Sarnath (10 km from Varanasi) — one of the four holiest pilgrimage sites in Buddhism, where Siddhartha Gautama delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment at Bodh Gaya. Visit the imposing Dhamek Stupa (3rd century BC), the ancient Mulagandhakuti Vihara, and the outstanding Sarnath Archaeological Museum — home to the original Lion Capital of Ashoka, India’s national emblem. Observe Tibetan, Japanese and Thai Buddhist monks in peaceful meditation. Return to Varanasi for afternoon leisure, and attend one final evening Ganga Aarti ceremony — your farewell offering to this eternal city.
Day
After a final sunrise at the ghats (optional), check out of your hotel and transfer to Varanasi airport for your connecting flight to Delhi. At Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, your Prime Value Tours representative ensures a smooth transfer for your international onward journey. Tour concludes. Ask us about extending your trip to Bodh Gaya, Khajuraho, Orchha or the Buddhist circuit of Lumbini (Nepal).

“Being based in Varanasi gives Prime Value Tours a completely different level of expertise in the holy city. The sunrise boat ride they organised was on a quiet wooden boat, not a tourist vessel — pure magic.”
